Hand painted on linen the design is outlined in pen and filled with (water?) colour. The four figures stand above the first four lines of the patriotic poem Dalmarsch by Erik Axel
Karlfeldts.

In good condition other than the slight stain which can be seen on the photos. The white dot in the centre is camera reflection.
Dated 1907 and initialled K E lower right.
Karlfeldt 1864-1931 was a Swedish symbolist poet who was very highly regarded in Sweden. He was a member of the Swedish Academy and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature posthumously in
1931.
