19th Century Watercolour of a Thoughtful Old Gentleman

 

 

Leaning in and in a non aggressive pose,  glasses off and spectacles placed on his book, this old gentleman seems to me just about to say:

"In you come, and tell me all about it".

 

In shades of grey, black and brown. Under glass and in a simple period frame. Nice furniture detail too.
